An e-commerce affiliate is a website which links back to a third party e-commerce site such as Amazon.com.
When a visitor clicks on an affiliate link, they are connected to this third party site. If a purchase is made the owner of the original site will receive either a small payment (usually a percentage of the money the customer spends), or some other kind of recognition.
