Web marketing basics

What's the best way to measure web site performance?

There are a variety of methods of measuring the performance of your web site:

  1. Analysis of web logs
  2. On site tracking using cookies
  3. Measurement at the ISP
  4. Asking customers where they got the lead from?

At WebCertain, we currently recommend using ASP-based tracking based code which sits behind one pixel on each page of the site.

WebCertain works with US-company Engine Ready using Conversion Analyst to measure web site performance in this way.

Our reasons for adopting this route are ease of management, cost-effectiveness and accuracy. It is also an excellent way to monitor the performance of your offline marketing activities too.
